Lars Eller helped the Washington Capitals to the Stanley Cup last year with two defining moments. First, with a double overtime goal in Columbus that kept the team from being on the brink of elimination and then the Stanley Cup-clinching goal in Game 5.
Shortly after the 2018-19 season ended earlier than we all thought, Eller headed to the IIHF World Championship to represent Denmark. In their Tuesday win over Great Britain, Eller finished with a goal and three assists.
Denmark struck first on a 5-on-3 power play, their first of four power play goals on the night.
