ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals hosted Hockey ’n Heels for more than 250 attendees on Jan. 12 at Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, Va.
Hockey ’n Heels is held each season exclusively for members of Scarlet Caps, the team’s female fan club, and features instructional sessions and on-ice demonstrations targeted towards the Capitals’ female audience.
The night was divided into sessions of on-ice demonstrations featuring Capitals players and alumni and off-ice presentations featuring head coach Barry Trotz, broadcast talent and NHL officials. Hockey ’n Heels on-ice demonstrations featured the opportunity to play broomball with forwards Stanislav Galiev and Evgeny Kuznetsov, a lesson in goaltending from goaltender Philipp Grubauer and slapshot skills training with Capitals alumni Paul Mulvey and Errol Rausse.
