The Washington Capitals already shared a thread with current head coach Barry Trotz even before he was hired as their head coach. What fans might not know is that current Chicago Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville played briefly for the Washington Capitals and the Baltimore Skipjacks (the Caps AHL affiliate at the time).
More From History
Quenneville was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the second round of the 1978 NHL draft at the age of 20. He played a total of 93 games with them before traded to the Colorado Rockies (currently known as the New Jersey Devils).
