Washington Capitals Russian defenseman Dmitry Orlov was maligned for his badly-timed pinches and his inopportune defensive zone turnovers in his first year back from a significant injury.
On the flip side, he was also known for his dazzling moves through the neutral zone, top-end creativity and flying hip-checks.
To many, Dmitry Orlov can be considered the new Mike Green in one way or another. Full of offensive potential waiting to be tapped in to, Orlov is often the focus of the blame when the Washington Capitals suffer defensive breakdowns while the 24-year old is on the ice, whether it is his fault or not.
