The Washington Capitals put together a cohesive 60-minute-effort in their 2-1 win over the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday night. Barry Trotz was able to roll all four lines in a game that really wasn’t ever as close as the final score shows. The Capitals flew out of the gates with several early scoring chances. Fourteen minutes into the game, Michael Latta was able to corral an ally-oop pass from Dmitry Orlov and roof the puck for his second goal of the season. Taylor Chorney picked up a secondary assist on the play.
