When Daniel Sprong was acquired from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for Christian Djoos, the Washington Capitals were swapping one of their defensive gems for an offensive gem that used to be part of the Pittsburgh Penguins farm system. Now he’s ours and he became a fan favorite last season.
In Sprong’s first season with the Caps, the young forward scored 13 goals and added seven assists for 20 points while appearing in 42 of the 56 regular season games. Sprong also played in three playoff games and had an assist but honestly he should’ve played in all five games.
