Washington Capitals: Backstrom cracks Neuvirth in game six

The Washington Capitals were living through their worst nightmare for much of games four and five of their first round series against the Philadelphia Flyers. Through six periods, the Capitals only managed to beat their former goaltender, Michal Neuvirth, once, allowing the Flyers to keep the series close at 3-2.

The situation remained the same in Philadelphia for game six on Sunday. Neuvirth continued to play the part of a brick wall between the pipes through the first half of the game, stopping the Washington Capitals on several power play opportunities through the first period and the early portion of the second.
