Nearly thirty games into the season and the Washington Capitals are fighting for the top spot in the entire NHL. As I write this they two points ahead of the Boston Bruins in the top spot in the league with 43 points with a 19-4-5 record. Getting 41 points out of a possible 54 is a heck of an accomplishment.
Yet we are just done with a fraction of the season and they’re is still a lot of hockey to be played. The Capitals have played great for two months and now it’s time to start thinking about the third month, the month of December.
