The Washington Capitals are bringing Tom Wilson back.
The free agent right-winger signed a two-year, $4 million contract, the team announced on Thursday. He is due to make $1.75 million in 2016-17 and $2.25 million in 2017-18, according to the team.
Wilson had 23 points last season, including seven goals and 16 assists to go with 163 penalty minutes in 82 games. He set career-highs in points, goals, assists and plus/minus. Wilson was the team leader in penalty minutes, ranking third in the NHL while finishing 10th in the league in hits.
