9 - Number of defensemen in Capitals franchise history to be selected to the NHL’s All-Star Game, with John Carlson joining that group this year. Carlson will be making his All-Star debut alongside teammate Braden Holtby (who will be attending his fourth All-Star Game), and is the first Caps’ blueliner to make the cut since Dennis Wideman back in 2012.
