When he potted last night’s insurance tally into an empty net, Johansson became the first Cap to score multiple goals on back-to-back nights since Alex Ovechkin did so back in January (ninth and tenth) of this year, which wasn’t all that long ago. But for non-Ovi (who also turned this trick in April, 2013 and December, 2011) Caps, Johansson is the first since Alexander Semin tallied twice on January 26 and then again on the 27th, 2010.
