…the number of players in NHL history who have scored at least 30 goals against the Caps in their career. The leader of that group (and someone who likely will hold that spot for quite some time) is Mike Bossy, with 55 goals; only he and Mario Lemieux (51) cracked the 50-goal mark, and only four people have scored more than 40 goals against Washington over the years.
Of the 19 players, only one is still active, and that would be the indomitable Sidney Crosby, who has 31 goals against the Caps…one ahead of Wayne Gretzky, so it’s nice that he can claim he beat out 99 for something.
