The South Carolina Stingrays signed goaltender Cedrick Andree for the 2021-2022 season, the team announced Wednesday in a press release.
The 21-year-old joins the team after spending the past season with the Belleville Senators, where he recorded a .878 save percentage and a 3.34 goals-against-average percentage. Before that, the 5-foot-10, 172-pound Ontario native spent three seasons with the Ottawa 67’s. Andree posted a .916 save percentage in his final season with the team.
Andree feels ecstatic to begin his first professional hockey season. Head coach Ryan Blair also looks forward to working with the left-handed goaltender.
“Cedrick has a tireless work ethic and is a pure competitor,” Blair said in the press release.
