The South Carolina Stingrays agreed to terms with head coach Ryan Warsofsky to a multi-year extension, the length of which has not yet been released. Warsofsky was assistant coach for three seasons (2013-2016) before becoming the head coach.
In his first year as head coach, Wasrsofsky led the team to their second Kelly Cup Final in three years, despite not having home ice in a single series. The Stingrays had a stunning 30-16-3-1 (W-L-OTL-SOL) in their 50 games against South Division rivals.
The Stingrays will look to defend their Eastern Conference Championship this year in their 25th anniversary season.
