Stingrays Fall 4-3 in Double OT, Series Tied

In a span of 29 seconds, the Americans jumped out for two goals, one from Dyson Stevenson and the other from Greger Hanson. The Stingrays would get one back before the first break from Derek DeBlois two and half minutes later. Caps prospect Caleb Herbert scored the tying tally midway through the second. That would be all the scoring until Arseneau’s winner.

Goalie Jeff Jakaitis recovered from the slow start for 34 saves on 37 shots and Riley Gill saved 44 out of 46 shots. The Stingrays badly outshot the Americans in every period of the game excluding double overtime, where the Americans took nine shots to the Stingrays two.
