Sidney Crosby out for Game 4 with concussion

PITTSBURGH — Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby has been diagnosed with a concussion and will miss Wednesday night’s Game 4 against the Washington Capitals, coach Mike Sullivan said Tuesday.

Crosby was injured early in Monday’s Game 3. He collided with Washington defenseman Matt Niskanen, who cross-checked him in the head. Crosby had fallen off-balance after Alex Ovechkin hit him in the helmet with his stick.

Sullivan said he had no reaction to the league’s decision not to discipline Niskanen. He said he’d talked to Crosby, who wasn’t overly distraught about his situation. Crosby has a history of concussions and has already had one this season.
