As part of their 50th anniversary celebration, the Washington Capitals on Saturday held the Street Hockey Extravaganza, a youth ball hockey tournament, at Eaglebank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia. The event pays tribute to the original Street Hockey Extravaganza tournament, which took place in the 1975, when more than 2,000 children participated in 50 simultaneous street hockey games at the Capital Centre in Maryland.
Today, the Gold Team secured the championship, defeating the Gray Team.
