Ovechkin has been a beast in this playoff series, and we’ve even noticed him making use of some of his old moves. When he first came into the league, Alex Ovechkin was full of moves that the NHL hadn’t really seen, and for a couple of seasons they were very effective. Over time, defenseman started to learn how to play Ovechkin, and for much of the past decade, his goals have been largely limited to one timers from his office on the power play. Despite that, he has still managed to score 50 goals regularly, but it’s nice to see Ovechkin pulling out some of those old moves in this series, and using them to setup up layup goals for his teammates.
