“One Trick Pony” Scores as Caps Beat Rangers in OT Thriller

The Capitals continued to prove why they’re one of the best teams in hockey right now, as they beat the New York Rangers, 3-2 in OT, courtesy of Tom Wilson’s game-winning goal. Wilson also had an assist in the road win at Madison Square Garden.

Washington got on the board very early on when Pierre-Luc Dubois scored the opening goal 64 seconds into the contest. Dubois now has 16 tallies on the season, showing that he’s been a quality addition to the Caps.

The next time Washington scored was 10 minutes into the third period when Alex Ovechkin put the puck in the net on the power play to tie the game up at 2-2.
