(Caps Outsider)
Nic Dowd is one of a handful of new Washington Capitals this year who didn’t get to experience last season’s success, but will surely be needed for a legit shot at winning back-to-back championships.
Dowd scored his eighth goal of the season Thursday to help the Caps to a 2-1 win which clinched the Metropolitan Division.
“As a whole, the season’s been great, obviously a great group of guys, and I learned a lot coming to a new organization, and it’s a real privilege to be a part of it,” Dowd said after the game.
