Two nights after going out and snagging a gutsy 2-1 win in Seattle, the Caps hit the ice in Vancouver…and did the same damn thing against the Canucks. It wasn’t always pretty, and it certainly didn’t feel like a sure thing until that final horn sounded, but the Caps put together another strong team effort en route to their victory last night. Despite falling behind early, they got timely scoring coupled with stalwart defense and goaltending to grab another two points in the standings.

- As his coach pointed out after the game, Ivan Miroshnichenko continues to show exactly that he deserves to be up with the big club, adding another point to his total – this time a beauty of an assist (his first in the NHL) that showed both skill and awareness to set up Tom Wilson in front of the net.
