Last night’s game against the Bruins was one of those grind-it-out games where both teams are fighting for every inch of ice – in short, it felt like a playoff game (right down to the excessive number of obnoxious vocal visiting fans in the building). The Caps did a great job of coming strong out of the gate, weathering a bit of a storm in the second period, and fighting back to even the score in the third and earn a crucial point.
Three Takeaways:
- Nice to see another fourth-liner picking up a goal, with Michael Sgarbossa taking advantage of a Bruins line change to fire a puck over the shoulder of Jeremy Swayman for his fourth of the season.
