The Washington Capitals needed to get a win last night, and they did exactly that – and they did it in fine fashion, allowing Charlie Lindgren to have a relatively light night (although a few of his 16 saves, particularly in the third period, were very good ones) and playing a clean, simple game to capture a crucial two points.
Three Takeaways:
- The Caps held the Bruins to just 16 shots last night, the fewest Boston has put on net all season. The Bruins’ previous low in that department? 18…against these very same Capitals back in February.
