After injuring his arm in a fight against Nicolas Deslauriers on Monday night in Buffalo, Michael Latta participated fully in morning skate on Wednesday, but he won’t play against the Sabres. Zach Sill, whom the Washington Capitals called up on Tuesday, will be the team’s fourth-line center.
Latta said he could play if he had to and the injury is “nothing serious,” and Coach Barry Trotz indicated that there’s a possibility Latta will play on Thursday at the Carolina Hurricanes.
“Fight was going fine,” Latta said. “It was going fine, and then I tweaked something in my arm and arm kind of went numb a little bit.
