Marcus Johansson returns with a three-point night to lift Capitals

NASHVILLE — There was supposed to be rust in the first game back from an injury, but Marcus Johansson wasted little time re-establishing himself as his team’s third-line center on Tuesday night. Without him, the Washington Capitals struggled to get secondary scoring. With him, the third line got three goals — one from each of its members — to lift the Capitals to a 5-3 win over the Nashville Predators.

“I think it took a little bit to get in the game,” Johansson said. “But it’s just fun and exciting to be back, and you miss hanging around with the boys and you miss playing games.
