Evgeny Kuznetsov is a wizard. At least, that what he appears to be when he’s got the puck down low, sending deceptive backhand passes to wide-open teammates who score in a flash. Though we’ve seen the trick before, it never gets old, and he did it again Wednesday as he set up Alex Ovechkin in the third period during the Caps’ 5-2 victory against Buffalo.
“It’s a lucky play, always,” Kuznetsov says when asked about his moves down low. Has he always been good at those behind-the-net plays? Does he practice those moves? HOW DOES HE DO THAT?
