LOS ANGELES – Justin Williams didn’t bother with the pretense that playing against his old team was just like playing any other game, admitting that as much as he wished facing the Los Angeles Kings last month was normal, it wasn’t. He got the initial awkwardness out of the way when Verizon Center hosted them, but on Wednesday night, both Williams and Mike Richards will make their returns to Staples Center.
“Of course I’ve thought about it,” Williams said. “But it’s part of the schedule. You’ve got to play it.”
They were called “Stick and Rick” in Los Angeles.
