After Saturday’s 7-3 win against Colorado, five fans who won the Fall Puck Surprise grand prize got to meet Caps forward Justin Williams. The winners each had someone else with them (a friend, family member or significant other), one of whom stood out: an Avs fan in a Quebec Nordiques jersey.
However, this Avs fan also happened to be a Carolina Hurricanes fan back when they won the Stanley Cup in 2005–06. The fan had snapped a photo of Williams holding the Cup, and showed it to him. Using a special pen that lets you write on the phone, Williams autographed the photo, right there on the screen.
