Defenseman John Carlson is is likely to play against the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday, Capitals Coach Barry Trotz said. Carlson has missed 12 games with a lower-body injury.
“He’s going to take warmups, and then we’ll see from there,” Trotz said. “I would say he’s probable, so I anticipate him probably being in, but we’ll leave me a little leeway.”
Carlson has been practicing with the team since last Tuesday, when he participated in a morning skate in Columbus. With a four-day all-star break following Wednesday’s game, Trotz said Monday that if Carlson wasn’t feeling 100 percent, then they’d wait until after the all-star break to get him back into the lineup.
