Last season, Hershey’s annual Teddy Bear Toss didn’t go as planned as the home team was shutout for the first time while hosting this event. This year, that wasn’t the case as Bogdan Trineyev scored the goal that sent teddy bears flying. The GIANT Center crowd once again pelted the ice with stuffed animals that will be donated to local charities.
The teddy bears and stuffed animals are collected and donated to more than 30 local and regional organizations in the Hershey area, such as the Catherine Hershey Schools, Vista Autism Services, Harrisburg School District, Cocoa Packs, Hershey Food Bank, Helping the Harrisburg Family, Palmyra Lions Club, Milton Hershey School, and Autism Society Greater Harrisburg Area.
