Fresh off its first East Division title in five years and its first 100-point season since 2010-11, the Hershey Bears signed their entire coaching staff to multi-year contracts, the club announced Friday afternoon.
Steering the Washington Capitals’ affiliate during his first head coaching campaign in the American Hockey League, Troy Mann led the Bears to a 46-22-5-3 record and the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. A former assistant in Hershey before spending one season with the ECHL’s Bakersfield Condors, Mann returned last summer and coached his old team into the second round of the Calder Cup Playoffs, where it fell to Hartford.
