Hershey Bears Playoff Bound Once Again

The Washington Capitals’ AHL affiliate Hershey Bears will once again be a presence in the 2016 Calder Cup Playoffs this year after gaining a point against the Providence Bruins on Sunday.

A Christian Djoos goal tied the game at one for the Bears, though they eventually fell in overtime, still securing the last point necessary to clinch their berth in the postseason.

What remains uncertain is the seeding. The Bears currently are first in the Atlantic Division with 90 points, three points ahead of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins with six games remaining in the regular season. Three of the remaining six games are against the Baby Pens, making the remaining couple of weeks very crucial in terms of playoff seeding.
