At 2 p.m. on Wednesday, the original cover lineup was (and I’m using sports department lingo) Caps, Steinberg, Redskins, Jays and Wiz.
The story on Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson was our planned display — but that was before a bat got hit and another got flipped in Toronto.
Our cover switch was a go. With a large advertisement on the bottom of the front (not pictured), one story had to move inside. This gave us a little more room to keep the Jackson story prominent and create the real estate necessary for the baseball display.
