South Carolina Stingrays goaltender Parker Milner announced his retirement in an article in the Charleston City Paper, in which he was named the best local athlete.
Milner, 29, has spent the last four seasons with the Stingrays while also appearing in 15 games for the Hershey Bears. In the AHL, Milner went 7-7-1 while recording one shutout. With the Stingrays, Milner was a star.
In the 2017-2018 season, he was named ECHL goaltender of the year after going going 28-7-3 with a league-leading 1.86 goals-against average.
