George McPhee has his fingerprints all over this Stanley Cup Final

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

The Vegas Golden Knights and former Washington Capitals general manager has more fingerprints all over both of those teams than me at a Vegas buffet.

He is, of course, the architect of arguably the greatest single season feat ever accomplished by a general manager in any sport — building an expansion franchise roster that would go on to win its conference championship and play in the Stanley Cup finals.

And please, if you are going to argue that because the National Hockey League gave Vegas more opportunities to select talent from existing rosters around the league somehow diminishes what McPhee has gone, you’ve taken way too many pucks to the head.
