UNIONDALE, N.Y. – Once he finished the Washington Capitals’ morning skate and the treatment that followed, forward Marcus Johansson had little desire to discuss the injury suffered when a skate blade slashed his calf. He had finished Sunday’s overtime loss to the New York Islanders, practiced without issue Tuesday afternoon and deemed himself ready to play that night in Game 4. In his mind, little more needed to be said.
“I felt good on the ice and that’s all I’m going to say,” Johansson said. “I felt good this morning. That’s a good sign. I’m planning on playing.
