Connor Carrick was traded late last night as part of the deal that sent Brooks Laich to Toronto in exchange for Daniel Winnik. Carrick, from Orland Park, Illinois, is a former 5th round pick in 2012. The 21 year old played a total of 37 games for the Caps, 34 being in the 2013-14 season and three this year. Carrick has totaled 6 points while playing with Washington, including one highlight-reel goal.
Carrick led Hershey in points on the back-end this year with 10 goals and 16 assists. Carrick was also selected to the AHL all star game.
