Five days after Alex Ovechkin scored his record-breaking 895th career goal, the Washington Capitals honored their captain for the Gr8 City Celebration at Capital One Arena on Friday. The event was originally moved from Union Station due to an increased number of fans.

Ovechkin took the stage in the middle of Capital One Arena to talk to Alan May and Tarik El-Bashir about his 20-year career and breaking the record.
