It’s not often any of us open the pages of Entertainment Weekly and see anything about hockey, but Gabe Polsky’s documentary “Red Army,” about the rise of the Soviet team through the eyes of hockey legend Slava Fetisov (with a cameo by Alex Ovechkin!), earned well deserved praise from this magazine. In its July 24th issue (that future-date-on-the-magazine trick still fools us, doesn’t it?), the magazine put the film on its “2015’s 10 Best Films So Far” list, which includes “Inside Out” as its No. 1, and other documentaries like ‘Amy’ about Amy Winehouse and “Cobain: Montage of Heck.
