After sitting out last season due to a wrist injury, Caps defender Dmitry Orlov had some catching up to do on the stat sheet. Against Colorado on Saturday, he scored his ‘magic,’ goal, then he scored the only one against Edmonton on Monday. On Wednesday, he scored yet again against the Jets.
His third goal of the season matches a career high for the 24-year-old Russian, which he accomplished in only 21 games this season compared to 60 in 2011-12 and 54 in 2013-14.
The goal also gave him a career-high four-game point streak.
