NEW YORK — Dmitry Orlov is past the point of answering questions about how he’s feeling or how his injured wrist is doing. After breaking his wrist and going 17 months without playing in an NHL game, Orlov’s season started with some expected rust, and Coach Barry Trotz said that defenseman Taylor Chorney could challenge Orlov’s spot in the lineup.
Orlov appears past the rust now, too. He’s played in every game, moving from the right side to the left on the third defensive pairing, though Orlov still has some catching up to do.
“I think his game is starting to come around,” Trotz said.
