Monday afternoon, a handful of original season ticketholders from the Capitals’ inaugural season got their 2024-25 tickets hand-delivered by some familiar faces:
The celebration continued earlier today for these longtime fans, as they were invited to Capital One Arena yesterday for a special “thank you” event from the team for their many years of heartache loyalty. Many of the 36 ticketholders were in attendance with their friends and family, including me and my dad, who attended the team’s first preseason game back in 1974 and – bless his optimistic heart – bought season tickets that same night.
