The Washington Capitals played another 45 minutes of excellent hockey tonight, coupled with 15 minutes of something resembling performance art involving lighting garbage on fire.
Not really, but this one ended ugly for Washington.
Here’s Tuesday night’s Plus/Minus:
Plus: Sweet-faced Swedish winger Andre Burakovsky finally got back in the goal column, notching his first score since January.
Minus: The Capitals called on goaltender Braden Holtby to save their chicharones once again, asking the former Vezina Trophy-winner to make more desperate saves than a bankrupt preacher.
