(Caps Outsider)
The Caps announced Tuesday that they signed defenseman Brenden Dillon to a four-year contract worth $3.9 million a season.
Dillon, 29, was acquired late last season and proved to be popular in the locker room. While he’ll certainly be playing big minutes for the Caps, he’ll also prove to be a fan favorite in the coming years, as Caps fans have already learned to appreciate his good nature and charitable work, including when he donated 10,000 medical masks . He also got a major positive referral from former Cap Joel Ward, who played with Dillon in San Jose.
