During the second intermission of Thursday’s Caps game, the Caps hosted a shootout exhibition with the USA Warriors sled hockey team and the USA National sled hockey team. Each member took a shot. It was part of the According to the Caps, more than 500 military members attended the game.
The Caps themselves wore camouflage jerseys for pre-game warmups and auctioned them off with the proceeds going to benefit the USO-Metro and Defending the Blue Line.
Lance Corporal Josh Misiewicz, of the sled hockey team, dropped the puck for the ceremonial face-off with New York’s John Tavares and Alex Ovechkin.
