The Washington Capitals announced that they have recalled forward Riley Barber from AHL Hershey.
Barber, 24, has 18 points (eight goals and ten assists) in 20 games for Hershey this season. Barber made his NHL debut with the Caps in the 2016-17 season and played three games, but did not register a point.
The move indicates that top-line winger Tom Wilson will likely be out for an extended period of time as he recovers from a “upper-body injury” that is likely a concussion as a result from a hit from Vegas Golden Knights forward Ryan Reaves on Tuesday.
