It’s been well more than a month since the Caps had a convincing home victory as they did against the Flyers on Tuesday, this time with a 9-2 win. The last time they had a home victory of more than three goals was a 5-2 win against the Seattle Kraken on March 5, and a 4-0 win against Carolina two days earlier. In fact, it was the first time since the Caps scored nine goals since 2008.
Sure, the Flyers aren’t a good team, but the Caps, with a four-game winning streak, are trending in the right direction down the stretch.
