Caps Are Still Second Best

The first period had the making of a shalaking, but after going down 2-0 against the first place Winnipeg Jets, the Caps fought back from every deficit before tying the game in the third period and falling, 5-4, in overtime.

Goals by Pierre-Luc Dubois, Taylor Raddysh, Tom Wilson and Alex Ovechkin would ordinarily be enough to win a game with Logan Thompson in net, but against the best team in the league, the lackluster first period and mistake in overtime was too much to overcome.

I thought we made a lot of mental mistakes throughout that game.
