After disposing of the Canucks at Rogers Arena Monday night Washington traveled east to Rogers Place to face the Oilers. Once they arrived in Edmonton the Capitals were upset 4 to 1 by their hosts (including old friend Alex Chiasson).
Here’s Friday morning’s Plus/Minus:
Plus: Notwithstanding Edmonton’s third period goal Braden Holtby had an excellent evening, notching 28 stops in a .903 night. His performance deserved a better outcome.
Minus: John Carlson had a rough game, tallying assists for both teams. Despite an impressive start to the campaign he was limited to a largely ineffective, and season low, 21:04 TOI.
