After vanquishing Columbus and Pittsburgh in consecutive series The Tampa Lightning played host to Washington. The Capitals rode a strong offensive outing from their entire lineup to a 4 to 2 victory.
Here’s Friday night's Plus/Minus:
Plus: Washington came into Amalie Arena and put down a statement in Game One.
Minus: Alex Chiasson was the weakest link amongst the forwards. Two minor penalties including one of the inexcusable variety that led directly to a Lightning tally.
Nine more notes on the game.
- Before the game’s ten minute mark Michal Kempny put the Capitals ahead with his first career Stanley Cup Playoff goal.
